Do you even know Obochama kun? I don't know that much. I slight remember that there was a Anime Obochama kun when I was little.

What is Obochama kun? (info from wikipedia)
It is a Japanese Manga by Yoshinori Kobayasi. 28 volume in Manga, originally a serial Manga in a Japanese Manga magazine KoloKolo comic from 1986-94, and was Animated in 1989. The illustration and story was claimed vulgar and always highly ranked as a Manga/Anime that parents don't want their child to see.

It is quite an old Manga but why did it come 2nd?
It is the influence of Pachinko. Pachinko is a local Japanese casino. It is like between Pinball and a slot machine.
Recently, Obochama kun was made in to a Pachinko so that's why it made a big sales again.
4th ranked Hanano Keiji is also a Manga in early 90s and was made in to Pachinko recently.

I didn't know that Pachinko influences the sales of Manga. I don't go to Pachinko so I always though Pachinko was influenced buy Manga, because it originates in Manga. But I think the influence of Pachingo to Manga industry is much bigger.
